History
Several members of SISU have shared information technology resources since 1982. In 1997 SISU Medical Systems was officially established as a non-profit corporation. Our long track record for providing quality information technology and staffing based on cost is a testament to our success. Cost sharing initiatives enable SISU to provide quality information technology to our member medical facilities. Often these same facilities alone might not otherwise be able to cost justify such information technology.
Applications and Support
SISU Medical Systems contracts with Medical Information Technology (MEDITECH) to provide the core software applications used by our members. Contracts with SISU Medical Solutions, LLC provide a complete staff for SISU Medical Systems. However, SISU Medical Systems is not a vendor. Instead, our collaborative nature offers much more. Because our members are also owners of SISU, we provide technology solutions with their best interests as our sole responsibility. Our staff work on behalf of our members. In many cases we are the information systems staff for our members. Additionally, in some of our member facilities, SISU staff work together with and as a supplement to information technology staff hired directly by the facility.
