User Groups

User groups provide a vendor-free, collaborative environment for users from multiple medical facilities to: 

  • Discuss common issues.
  • Learn how each facility handles particular situations.
  • Suggest and/or plan workshops.
  • Share successes and challenges.
  • Look ahead to future issues.
  • Prioritize modification requests for our SISU applications staff.

Most applications have their own user group. Examples include the Billing User's Group (BUG) and the Medical Records User's Group (MUG). Application users themselves facilitate the user groups with support from SISU analysts and meet periodically throughout the year.

SISU user groups meet at SISU or one of our members' facilities. This flexibility, coupled with the option of participating via the SISU Video Conference Network, can significantly limit travel time and cost.

Our integrated e-mail system supports user group lists, which correspond to specific applications. Upon request of being added to a list, users can submit a question or announce information to all members of the user group quickly and efficiently.

SISU hosts several international e-mail list serves for a variety of MEDITECH applications. These list serves provide MEDITECH Client/Server users access to information provided by other users in a friendly, vendor-free environment.
