DULUTH – On Thursday, elected officials and business leaders broke ground on a multi-million dollar facility in Duluth.

Involta, a leading company in mission critical computer data technology, will construct and operate two state of the art facilities in the Northland.

Mayor Don Ness says Duluth is the perfect place for a company of this caliber.

"We need a world-class data center and with our partnership with Involta, we now have that piece in place and Involta is a terrific partner because they are a world class organization based right here in the Midwest," said Duluth Mayor, Don Ness.

The 10 and a half million dollar facility will open for business next year.

Involta builds, owns and operates colocation datacenters and provides core infrastructure support services.

Involta employees are located in Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Duluth will be one of several datacenter supported locations.
